THE DIXIE DETECTIVE AGENCY

CHAPTER SEVEN

*** Your Title Here ***    Since "Hamm"  comes before "Peach" alphabectaly, Virginia's cell phone number was listed before Georgia's on Dixie's speed dial.

"Well hello, Virginia," Tanya said when Virginia answered.

"How did you get this number?" Virginia demanded.

   "Is your friend Gerogia there?"

  "Yes, but you haven't answered-"

  "Turn on your video."

The image appeared on the screen. Only Dixie's head and shoulders were visible, but than was enough to convince the two thier mentor was bound as well as gagged.

Tanya gave the adress of the building where Dixie was being held. "Do you think we're stupid?" Virginia said. "This is obviously a trap."

"But it's the only way you'll be able to see Dixie alive again," Tanya said. "Be here in an hour." Then the line went dead.

"We've got an hour," Georgia said. "But that place is twenty minutes away."

"Good," Virginia said. "You call Brooke, I'll get Lieutenant Kent."

The FBI agent and the police lieutenant agreed to meet the two at the location forty-five minutes later. It turned out to be an abandoned auto repair shop.

   "Not a warehouse," Virgina observed.

"Maybe abandoned warehouses are in short supply around here," Georgia said.

Lieuntenant Emma Kent arrived next. She wore a dark blue pant suit and a serious expression. She looked a bit like a female Derek Jeter. "This it?" she wondered.

"Yes," Georgia said. "Do you know Brooke Trout?"

  "The FBI agent?"

"No, the fish. Of course the FBI agent."

Brooke got out of her car. "I don't care if it's a little early," Georgia said. "We're going in now."

"Just give us ten minutes," Virginia said.

The two went into the garage. Dixie was seated atop a large crate, with her hands tied behind her back, her ankles were bound and a gag secured around her mouth. Virginia and Georgia mosed cautiously, hier heads and bodies turning as they went. "They must have done this as a diversion," Virginia said.

There's a hole in your thinking, Ginny. Georgia didn't voice that though, mainly because she couldn't put a finger on it. The quickly released Dixie and stared to head for the door.

Just then two people came in: Sherry and Brandy Wine. They were followed by "Samurai Joe","Derek the Viking" and, "Chocalate Thunder." the latter two carried Brooke and Emma Kent respectively. The twins pointed guns at the slueths

"Zach, Randy set them down," Brandy ordered. "The chlorofrom sould work until we're finished."

The two did as told. Zach, alias "Derek" came over to Virginia, and Randy to Georgia. "Samurai Joe" went to Dixie, who said. "You must be Peter Wang."

  "That's right."

Dixie, Virginia, and Georgia had thier wrists bound behind thier backs. "These two will come with us to make a little visit to Skivvy's" Brandy said, indicating Virginia and Georgia.

The twins had also worn backpacks. They set them on the floor and opened them up. They were packed with ropes, tapes and an assortment scarves, hankies, bandannas, and just plain small scraps of cloth. Sherry would take a small scrap of cloth and stuff it into a vicitm's mouth, while Brandy would secure the packing.

"They're stirring," Randy said, indicating Brooke and Emma.

"Get to work on them," Brandy ordered. "Peter, get the van."

Randy and Zach went to work on Brooke and Emma. A garage style door was opened remotely and Peter brought in the van. Virginia and Georgia were manhandled into the van where thier ankles were bound before the side door was slid shut.
