Introduction

This story is Caitlin Ryan’s second adventure. In it, I introduce a new character, Eric Joseph Malone. Eric bears awful scars from a fire that killed the only woman he ever loved. He lives apart from the rest of the world, in a small country cabin, with a little hairless dog as his only companion. When he sees Caitlin’s picture in the paper, he is reminded of what he lost a long time ago, true love. He has no idea that their paths are about to cross in a way that will change both of their lives.

While out job hunting, Caitlin is kidnapped and brutally attacked. Her captor leaves her to die in the same area that Eric calls home. Eric finds the young woman wandering around with her hands still bound and her mouth taped shut. He brings her back to his cabin and begins to nurse her back to health. The problem is that Caitlin has amnesia and can’t remember who she is. She learns though, that Eric was accused of a crime he never committed. After a week, he finally drops her off at a local hospital so she can be treated for her injuries. Caitlin cannot forget the strange, yet kind young man who saved her life.

“The Man with Half a Face” is more of a romantic bondage story. It is a story of courage, as Eric must find the courage to face the demons that reside in his hometown of Chicago, and Caitlin must find the courage to face a world that is no longer one hundred percent safe.

I hope you enjoy this romantic tale. I’m giving Jeb permission to release my email address, so I’d appreciate any feedback or comments, or if you just want to talk, that’d be cool too.
