Voyage into Slavery

Chapter Eight

Jennings sat with Kieko in her cabin; the girl wasn't ready to be left on her own, so he stayed with her.

He was looking through a folder, that she'd given him. It contained several photographs of all the missing girls, that had travelled on this ship. He could see, that all of the girls were really attractive people. He glanced up at Keiko, who was resting her head on his shoulder.

'Were any of these girls recovered, Kieko?'

The Japanese girl's answer was negative, 'This was where they were last seen, no trace has ever been found of them. '

He looked again at the details included, 'Hmm, all were travelling alone, and single with no family contacts. These people were covering their tracks well, grabbing their victims, where nobody would know or report them missing. '

He pondered for a few moments, then suddenly remembered the Thai girl. He picked up his walkie-talkie, and spoke into it, 'Su, do you copy, are you ok?'

There was no response. Already, another bad feeling was creeping into him. He called her again, giving some extra time for her, but again, still nothing.

'Who is Su?'Kieko asked.

Jennings replied, 'A policewoman from Thailand, she was the one who helped me find you. I hope she's not in trouble. '

Su lay on her side in her cage, as she made another fruitless attempt to try and free herself from the loops of white rope, almost crushing her. She moaned into her gag, as no amount of shaking her head would loosen it from her mouth. She closed her eyes, as her fears mounted in her.

Su had desperately tried to fight this evil that plagued Thailand. The Slavery gangs were a huge problem, every time they managed to shut one down, two more sprang up to replace it. Several of her female colleagues had been grabbed, as they'd set themselves up as bait. However, the slavers must have been informed, as the undercover women were abducted into the same situation she found herself in.

She shuddered at what the future held for her. Su had seen the undercover videos of the slave auctions, and had sincerely hoped she would never be paraded, like the bound, gagged women being auctioned off. Now, that seemed inevitable.

Just then, the door opened, and all the female captives watched with fear. as Madam Chen came in, carrying another bound woman.

She passed Su's cage, and the latter could see the woman was from the West.

Madam Chen opened up one of the few remaining empty cages, and easily forced Louise Jennings into her new prison. Her frightened expression was relished by Madam Chen. Louise couldn't resist as the Chinese woman stroked her nyloned legs, with the white ropes tied securely over the girl’s knees and thighs.

'It won't be long now, Miss Jennings, 'Madam Chen chuckled, as she continued to savour the girl's helplessness. 'I'm sure you're brother will not keep us waiting for long. Then, the show can begin. '

Louise could only whimper into her gag. She had no idea what these monsters were planning, but from what she'd heard, they were going to use her as bait against John.

'I hear he's an excellent fighter in the martial arts.' Madam Chen was now playing with Louise's hair. 'Perhaps I may enjoy facing him in unarmed combat—‘ She then suddenly produced a wicked looking blade, grabbing Louise tight by the hair so she couldn’t move away, and smiling at the girl's bulging eyes, '--and I'm sure he'll get the point. '

She twisted Louise’s head around by the handful of her hair, and gave the girl an unwanted kiss on her gagged mouth; then, sniggering, locked the cage, and left.

Su stared astonished at Louise, she could see that she was Jennings' sister. She tried to give some sign of reassurance, but her body could not obey, and the gag still kept her silent. Su prayed their imprisonment wouldn't last long, especially for the English girl. Her future looked really bleak.

Jennings was satisfied that Kieko had made a full recovery; he was pleased to hear her say that herself. He wanted to check up on something, and asked her, 'I need to go and see someone. Will you stay here? I won't be long. '

Kieko nodded, but he could still see concern on her face, as she sat on her bed, hands clenched in front. He took something from his pocket, and handed her a steel bracelet.

'Wear this, 'he told her, 'if you get into trouble, this will help me find you. '

Kieko glanced curiously at the bracelet, 'What is it?'

'A built in homing device, ' Jennings responded, 'it can pinpoint your location within several hundred metres. '

The girl put it on her wrist, and she instantly saw the tiny flashing red light on it. 'Don't worry, 'he reassured her, 'if they try anything, I'll know about it. '

With a squeeze of her shoulder, Jennings left, praying she'd be okay. He felt bad leaving her on her own, but he wanted to check on Louise. He had realised the ship ran by the bad guys, had moored right next to her. He hoped she was okay.

As Jennings left Kieko's cabin, two crew members pushing a clothing basket made their way to her cabin, both wore eager grins, as they prepared to carry out their orders.
